i've been wearing these for about a year and run a few hundred miles in them. they are very comfy with a good balance of support and cushioning. the light but bombproof uppers have plenty of mesh to allow water to escape and keep your feet cool in summer. the lacing system is great- very quick to change iif you are on a hill duathlon and they have yet to loosen during a run. they also make getting them off when caked in bog much easier than trad laces. the only drawback to these otherwise excellent trail running shoes is the shallow tread pattern on the sole which limits the shoe to landy trails and harder paths only. for most this is a great offroad training or race shoe but it would be a real classic if the tread didn't limit it's use so much. salomon's own speed cross fell shoe addresses this issue in spades and has seen me through a summer's fell running and racing. we're not stocking them so far so i'll not say too much other than they are a very credible alternative to the inov-8's and with slightly lower volume (though not walshy tight) provide great foot holding on rough terrain- their natural home.
