The electromagnetic compass on the core is very useful for the Cuillins as it is not affected by the magnetic rocks, and I find myself using the altimeter function more than my compass now for navigation in general, a very handy function. I also like the fact I can track what the air pressure is doing whilst in camp, its nice to know if there bad weather on the way. A very useful bit of kit indeed!
