I had the opportunity to buy cheaper Berghaus W Deluge trousers elsewhere but they would have been a longer length. I'm very glad I didn't as these trousers are the perfect length - I'm 5'5''. The zip would have been difficult to turn up with the longer length.
The design is excellent - very easy to get in and out of them - good movement too but I've given them one star less because I found when walking on shingle, there was some resistance just above the knee which made it heavier going. I had no problem with them in any other circumstance though and found them very comfortable and relatively stylish. I wear them over jeans - and they are true to size.

One of the main reasons for purchase of this item was the short leg option - for a short arse this is very practical. Other design features such as long side openings and waterproofing were also signficant attractions.
Have the features lived up to expectations? Its a case of yes, yes and yes - although the waterproof aspect is subject to further track testing in the coming weeks (hence only 4 stars instead of 5 at this stage), as exposure to the wet has so far been limited...but very optimistic.
Not much else to add - although I could comment on the service provided by Craigdon . I know it's not part of the product review but for any buyer's hesitant about using a remote supplier (yes Scotland is remote when viewed from an isolated part of Aus), I can only say don't be, as the service was both efficient and effective.
